You will find leisure activities, a youth café, parties, counseling, education and much more.

Welcome to diversity München e.V., the only queer youth organization with a youth center and youth café in Bavaria. diversity is a self-managed youth organization, i.e., the association is run by up to five volunteer board members, who are generally no older than 27 years of age.

For our youth work, we operate our youth center and our youth café, the diversity Café, in the heart of Munich. Our youth groups also operate on a peer-to-peer basis, which means that the group and youth leaders are also volunteers and are generally no older than 27. Many of them were once visitors to the various diversity programs themselves. To ensure that our group and youth leaders are adequately prepared for their important work, we offer youth leader training up to twice a year.

diversity@school does important educational work on sexual, romantic, and gender diversity in school classes, youth centers, and universities – by young people for young people on an equal footing.

Every Wednesday, the diversity Bar opens in our diversity Café – in this open space with no set program, everyone up to the age of 27 is welcome, whether queer or not. In addition, we open our diversity Café several times a week (currently on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays) and invite young people to hang out with us, play games, enjoy a hot drink or snack, hang out with friends, or just read a book.

Our services are made possible by the volunteer work of young lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, non-binary, asexual/aromantic, and HIV-positive people for other LGBTIAQ* youth and young adults – our team currently consists of about 100 volunteers! So we make sure that everyone feels comfortable in our youth center and youth café.

For professional support, we have our social education workers – they also offer professional counseling for young people, parents, and other institutions. Additionally, administrative staff supports the organization in the background.

Our association, diversity München e.V., has been around since 1993, although at that time it had a different name. Since mid-2007, we have had our own premises at Blumenstraße 11, and since 2017 we have also expanded to include a youth café at Blumenstraße 29.
