Our Team
A little impression from our diversity Christmas Party in 2023
Our team consists of a mix of (future) group and youth leaders, trainers from our educational project diversity@school, bartenders, and voluntary consultants responsible for specific areas (e.g., technology, team, media) – all of whom work purely on a voluntary basis in and for the association.
Many group leaders were themselves visitors to our various youth groups or the diversity bar. Our group and youth leaders are generally all in the same age range as our visitors, namely up to a maximum of 27 years of age. This peer-to-peer approach is intended to ensure that the age difference between group and youth leaders and visitors is not too great, allowing them to better empathize with the realities of their visitors' lives and helping visitors develop a stronger relationship of trust.
Once a month, a diversity-wide team meeting takes place, where current developments in our organization are discussed, decisions are made, and there is space to exchange ideas about the concerns of individual groups and projects.
We are proud that the cooperation between lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, inter*, non-binary, asexual/aromantic, and HIV-positive teenagers and young adults works so well for us – truly in the spirit of a real queer youth organization!
Everything we offer is based on the tremendous commitment of our young volunteers!
